Oak's Notes
Revived Pokemon
The Old Amber revives into Aerodactyl. Mega Evolves into Mega Aerodactyl in later generations, which can be activated with the Aerodactylite.
Playthrough Notes
Extremely fast physical attacker.
Aerodactyl's exceptional 130 Speed lets it act first against most opponents, and its 105 Attack is strong enough to clean up weakened teams. Aerodactyl is a fast and devestating Rock Slide user, and can boost allies speed with Tailwind.
One of the most generally useful and powerful fossil Pokemon, and a strong choice for any playthrough. Fills the role of Fly HM user as well.
Strengths and Weaknesses
Strengths: One of the fastest commonly available playthrough Pokémon. Strong physical Attack. Ground immunity. No evolution wait. Standalone fossil so you dont have to give up something else.
Weaknesses: Weak to Water, Electric, Ice, Rock, and Steel. Physical bulk is only moderate. Its best Rock moves may require a TM or arrive late in some games. Frequently obtained late or after the main story.
