Using Mega Audino in a Playthrough
Audino is a single-stage Normal-type built around support and durability rather than damage, with base 103 HP, 86 Defense, 86 Special Defense, and only base 60 in both attacking stats. Regenerator is its strongest ordinary single-battle Ability because switching out restores one-third of maximum HP, allowing Audino to repeatedly absorb damage without spending turns healing; Healer instead has a chance to cure an ally's status in doubles, while Klutz suppresses most held-item effects. Wish, Protect, Heal Bell, Thunder Wave, Toxic in older games, Reflect, Light Screen, and broad but weak offensive coverage let Audino act as a team medic, and its unusually high experience yield also made wild Audino famous as training targets throughout Unova. Mega Audino becomes Normal/Fairy, raises both Defense and Special Defense to 126, gains a Dragon immunity and Dark resistance, and uses Healer rather than Regenerator; its offense remains modest, so Mega Evolution improves survivability far more than damage. Calm or Bold are natural defensive natures, and Audino is most effective in a playthrough when the team actually benefits from healing and status support rather than expecting it to sweep.
Mega Audino in Competitive Pokémon
Base Audino has spent most of its singles history in lower tiers as a defensive cleric, where Regenerator, 103 HP, Wish, Protect, Heal Bell, Knock Off, Encore, and status support allow it to pivot repeatedly and pass large Wishes to teammates. BW tiering places Audino in PU, and its role has remained broadly similar in later generations: it is difficult to wear down through chip damage but can become passive because both offensive stats are only base 60. Mega Audino gave the species a substantially stronger competitive identity in Generation VI and especially SM NU. The Mega form's 103/126/126 bulk, Normal/Fairy typing, Wish, Heal Bell, Encore, Toxic, and broad support movepool made it one of NU's premier walls, capable of handling a wide range of special and physical attackers. A key tactical wrinkle is that base Audino has Regenerator while Mega Audino has Healer, so competitive sets can delay Mega Evolution to collect Regenerator healing before committing to the Mega form's superior defenses and typing.
Mega Audino in Nuzlockes
Audino is exceptionally safe as a support Pokemon in Nuzlockes because base 103 HP, balanced defenses, and Regenerator allow it to absorb moderate damage and heal simply by switching out. Wish can restore Audino or teammates, while Heal Bell removes debilitating status from the party in generations where it is available, giving the species value that does not depend on dealing much damage. Pure Normal has only a Fighting weakness and a Ghost immunity, but its lack of ordinary resistances means Audino should still be switched into attacks selectively. Mega Audino is much harder to break and gains a Dragon immunity, but losing Regenerator means it relies more on active healing once it Mega Evolves. Bold or Calm are the safest conventional natures, and the main drawback is passivity: long battles create more opportunities for critical hits, so Audino works best when its healing enables stronger teammates rather than trying to slowly win every matchup itself.

Mega Audino Biology and Behavior
Mega Audino develops longer sensory feelers and a white, coat-like body covering that strengthens its medical appearance. It can emit calming pulses that reduce hostility in nearby beings. The secondary feelers extending from its body can induce deep sleep in anything that touches them, giving the Mega form an additional way to pacify injured or aggressive creatures.

Mega Audino Size Comparison: BETA
Mega Audino is listed at 4' 11" (1.5 m) and shown in an in-chart visual comparison.

How is visual size determined?
Pokédex height is treated as the official listed measurement, but the chart uses pose-aware visual scaling so each sprite looks reasonable in a direct comparison.
For long or coiled Pokémon, the listed height may represent total body length rather than upright height. For Pokémon with floppy ears, leaves, feathers, antennae, wings, or other flexible features, the chart usually measures to the top of the solid, substantial part of the head or body instead of the tallest decorative feature.
The goal is not to replace the official height, but to make the artwork compare naturally at the size it appears to occupy.
