Florges Playthrough, Competitive, and Nuzlocke Usage
Using Florges in a Playthrough
Flabébé evolves into Floette at level 19, and ordinary Floette evolves into Florges with a Shiny Stone. The family is pure Fairy, giving it a Dragon immunity, resistances to Fighting, Bug, and Dark, and only Poison and Steel weaknesses. Florges is the conventional final form and specializes in special durability with base 154 Special Defense, base 112 Special Attack, and access to Moonblast, Psychic, Energy Ball, Calm Mind, Wish, Synthesis, Aromatherapy in older games, and other support. Flower Veil protects allied Grass-types from status and stat drops caused by opposing Pokemon, while Symbiosis can pass Florges's held item to an ally after that ally consumes or loses its own item, making both abilities much more relevant in doubles than singles. The rare Eternal Flower Floette is a separate branch rather than a route to Florges: it cannot evolve, has much higher stats than ordinary Floette, and uniquely learns the 140-base-power Fairy move Light of Ruin. Mega Floette can only come from Eternal Flower Floette and reaches base 155 Special Attack, 148 Special Defense, and 102 Speed with Fairy Aura, which boosts Fairy-type moves for the entire field. Calm or Bold suit defensive Florges, while Timid or Modest make more sense for Eternal or Mega Floette.
Florges in Competitive Pokémon
Florges was an immediate XY UU staple because base 154 Special Defense, pure Fairy typing, Moonblast, Wish, Synthesis, Protect, and cleric support let it check many special Dragons, Dark-types, and Fighting-types while healing both itself and teammates. Its weakness was always the physical side: base 68 Defense gives strong Steel- or Poison-type physical attackers and setup sweepers opportunities to force progress, and its ordinary abilities contribute very little in singles. Later generations kept Florges relevant in UU and RU as an elite special wall and support Fairy. Eternal Flower Floette historically had no standard competitive role because it was coded into older games but unobtainable; current canon finally makes it a real playable form, with a 551 base stat total and access to Light of Ruin. Mega Floette is newer still and should be separated from Florges's established history: its base 155 Special Attack, 148 Special Defense, 102 Speed, and Fairy Aura create a highly offensive special Fairy that can pressure teams far more directly than Florges while still retaining extraordinary special bulk.
Florges in Nuzlockes
The ordinary Flabébé line is very safe against special attackers once it reaches Florges, because base 154 Special Defense and a Dragon immunity provide an unusually large margin for error. Moonblast is accurate and reliable, while Wish or Synthesis can provide long-term recovery without recoil. The major danger is physical Poison or Steel coverage, because Florges's physical Defense is much lower than its special bulk suggests. Flabébé and Floette are substantially frailer before the Shiny Stone evolution, so delaying Florges for moves should be weighed against the risk of keeping the weaker middle stage active. Eternal Flower Floette is much stronger than ordinary Floette but cannot evolve, while Mega Floette's high Speed and Special Attack make it safer offensively by ending fights before opponents can act. Calm is excellent for conventional Florges, while Bold can compensate for its weaker physical defense.

It claims exquisite flower gardens as its territory, and it obtains power from basking in the energy emitted by flowering plants.
In times long past, governors of castles would invite Florges to create flower gardens to embellish the castle domains.
It controls the flowers it grows. The petal blizzards that Florges triggers are overwhelming in their beauty and power.
Its life can span several hundred years. It’s said to devote its entire life to protecting gardens.

Florges Biology and Behavior
Florges claims and cultivates elaborate flower gardens, devoting much of its exceptionally long life to protecting a chosen garden. Records describe individuals living for more than 300 years, and castle governors once raised Florges specifically to maintain and defend ornamental gardens. It can synchronize with flowers through different wavelengths, draw energy from them, and fire that power in concentrated beams. Florges is usually graceful and nurturing toward its garden, but it can become ruthlessly protective toward anyone who damages the flowers under its care.

Florges Size Comparison: BETA
Florges is listed at 3' 7" (1.1 m); this chart uses a pose-adjusted visual scale.

How is visual size determined?
Pokédex height is treated as the official listed measurement, but the chart uses pose-aware visual scaling so each sprite looks reasonable in a direct comparison.
For long or coiled Pokémon, the listed height may represent total body length rather than upright height. For Pokémon with floppy ears, leaves, feathers, antennae, wings, or other flexible features, the chart usually measures to the top of the solid, substantial part of the head or body instead of the tallest decorative feature.
The goal is not to replace the official height, but to make the artwork compare naturally at the size it appears to occupy.
Florges currently uses a pose-adjusted visual scale.
