Revived Pokemon
The Jaw Fossil revives into Tyrunt, which evolves into Tyrantrum at level 39 during the daytime.
Playthrough Notes
Tyrantrum has strong Attack and Defense and usually fits naturally into a story team. Strong Jaw improves biting moves, giving it reliable coverage even before its strongest Dragon and Rock attacks are available.
Its Defense lets it handle many physical opponents, but be careful around special Ice or Fairy attacks.
Usually the easier choice for a standard playthrough.
Strengths and Weaknesses
Strengths: High physical Attack and Defense. Interesting Dragon/Rock typing. Strong Jaw boosts moves such as Bite and Crunch. Straightforward physical moveset.
Weaknesses: Weak to Fighting, Ground, Steel, Ice, Dragon, and Fairy. Only average Speed. many of the strongest Rock moves have imperfect accuracy.
Choice Context
Choose the Jaw Fossil for straightforward physical power, and the Sail Fossil for special Ice coverage.
Jaw Fossil is usually easier for a normal playthrough.
