Cradily Playthrough Notes
Slow defensive Pokémon with recovery and chip-damage potential.
Cradily is difficult to knock out and can heal itself, but it defeats route trainers more slowly than most fossil choices. Can be a clutch wall in Gym Battles/Elite Four.
Use recovery and status or draining moves to outlast opponents. Cradily is better at staying power than quick knockouts.
Reliable but slow; choose it for survivability rather than speed.
Strengths and Weaknesses
Strengths: Good mixed bulk. Useful Grass coverage against Water and Ground Pokémon. Can use recovery moves in many games. Few opponents can knock it out in one hit without exploiting a weakness.
Weaknesses: Very slow. Only moderate offensive power. Weak to Fighting, Bug, Ice, and Steel. Can make routine trainer battles take longer.
Choice Context
Choose the Root Fossil for durability and recovery. Choose the Claw Fossil for faster, more direct physical offense.
Claw Fossil is more straightforward for a normal playthrough, but Root Fossil can be more useful if the team needs a defensive wall or recovery.
