Bouffalant Playthrough, Competitive, and Nuzlocke Usage
Using Bouffalant in a Playthrough
Bouffalant is a single-stage pure Normal-type with base 110 Attack, 95 HP, 95 Defense, and 95 Special Defense, giving it an unusually strong combination of power and natural bulk. Head Charge is its signature 120-base-power Normal attack and deals recoil equal to one-quarter of the damage inflicted, while Return in older games, Body Slam, Earthquake, Megahorn, Stone Edge or Rock Slide, Swords Dance, and coverage such as Wild Charge provide alternative options. Reckless boosts recoil moves by 20 percent, making Head Charge even stronger, while Sap Sipper grants complete Grass immunity and raises Attack by one stage when hit by a Grass move; Soundproof blocks most sound-based attacks. Pure Normal has only a Fighting weakness and a Ghost immunity but almost no resistances, so Bouffalant often relies on raw bulk rather than typing to take hits. Adamant is ideal for straightforward wallbreaking, while Brave works well under Trick Room because base 55 Speed is low. Head Charge is powerful enough to solve many story fights immediately, but the recoil should be avoided when a safer move already secures the knockout.
Bouffalant in Competitive Pokémon
Bouffalant was a strong BW RU wallbreaker. Base 110 Attack is backed by the exclusive Head Charge, and Reckless can increase that already powerful recoil move by another 20 percent, while 95/95/95 bulk lets Bouffalant survive far more neutral damage than most slow physical attackers. Sap Sipper offers an equally important alternative by creating a Grass immunity and providing an Attack boost, allowing Bouffalant to switch into moves such as Sleep Powder, Leech Seed, or Grass STAB and immediately become more dangerous. Choice Band, Substitute, Swords Dance, Earthquake, Megahorn, and Stone Edge gave it enough options to punish most conventional Normal resists or defensive answers. Its base 55 Speed and weakness to common Fighting attacks kept it from becoming a higher-tier staple, but within RU it was a legitimate breaker capable of forcing significant damage whenever it entered safely.
Bouffalant in Nuzlockes
Bouffalant is one of the safer slow physical attackers for Nuzlockes because base 95 in HP, Defense, and Special Defense gives it unusually balanced durability. Sap Sipper is particularly valuable because it provides a free Grass immunity and Attack boost, and pure Normal adds a Ghost immunity while leaving Fighting as the only ordinary type weakness. Head Charge can produce huge damage but also creates avoidable recoil, so Body Slam, Return in games where it exists, or another reliable move is usually safer when the extra power is unnecessary. Reckless increases both Head Charge and other recoil-based damage but does nothing to improve survivability, whereas Sap Sipper can create completely safe switch opportunities. Adamant is excellent for general use, while Brave fits especially well on a Trick Room team.

Bouffalant Biology and Behavior
Bouffalant is highly territorial and charges intruders head-first with enough force to destroy cars or even derail a train. Its enormous woolly head covering absorbs much of the impact from those attacks and functions as natural protection. Wild Bouffalant live in herds of roughly twenty individuals, and individuals with more impressive head hair hold higher social positions within the group. Pokédex lore says that a Bouffalant which betrays its herd somehow loses the hair from its head, linking the species' appearance directly to social status and loyalty.

Bouffalant Size Comparison: BETA
Bouffalant is listed at 5' 3" (1.6 m) and shown in an in-chart visual comparison.

How is visual size determined?
Pokédex height is treated as the official listed measurement, but the chart uses pose-aware visual scaling so each sprite looks reasonable in a direct comparison.
For long or coiled Pokémon, the listed height may represent total body length rather than upright height. For Pokémon with floppy ears, leaves, feathers, antennae, wings, or other flexible features, the chart usually measures to the top of the solid, substantial part of the head or body instead of the tallest decorative feature.
The goal is not to replace the official height, but to make the artwork compare naturally at the size it appears to occupy.
