Minccino Playthrough, Competitive, and Nuzlocke Usage
Using Minccino in a Playthrough
Minccino evolves into Cinccino with a Shiny Stone, producing a very fast pure Normal attacker with base 115 Speed and base 95 Attack. Tail Slap is the signature-style centerpiece, while Rock Blast and Bullet Seed provide valuable coverage; the Hidden Ability Skill Link guarantees that all of these multi-hit moves strike the maximum five times. Technician instead increases moves of 60 base power or less by 50 percent and can support a different group of weaker attacks, while Cute Charm is much less consistent. Skill Link Tail Slap is usually the easiest way to exploit Cinccino's stats because five hits can break Substitute, Focus Sash, Sturdy, and other single-hit defensive effects while dealing strong total damage. U-turn, Knock Off in later generations, Encore, Thunder Wave, and Triple Axel in some formats provide additional utility or coverage, but 75/60/60 bulk means Cinccino should rarely be used as a switch-in. Jolly is generally ideal because maintaining the excellent base 115 Speed is central to its safety.
Minccino in Competitive Pokémon
Cinccino was a major BW RU offensive threat, where Skill Link allowed Tail Slap to hit all five times and reach extremely high effective power while also breaking Substitute and Focus Sash. Rock Blast and Bullet Seed received the same guaranteed five-hit treatment, giving Cinccino unusually strong coverage from moves that are normally inconsistent. Base 115 Speed made it one of the fastest Pokemon in the tier and let it outrun threats such as Scolipede, while U-turn preserved momentum. Its weaknesses were equally clear: base 95 Attack is good rather than exceptional without Skill Link, Steel- and Ghost-types could wall older movepools, and 75/60/60 bulk meant almost any serious neutral attack could remove it. Later generations added useful tools such as Knock Off and other coverage, but Cinccino has remained a fast lower-tier cleaner whose entire competitive ceiling rises dramatically when Skill Link is available.
Minccino in Nuzlockes
Cinccino is attractive in Nuzlockes because base 115 Speed prevents many opponents from moving and Skill Link removes the randomness from multi-hit moves. A five-hit Tail Slap, Bullet Seed, or Rock Blast can break Sturdy or Focus Sash and still continue dealing damage, which is especially valuable against opponents that would otherwise survive one hit and retaliate. The drawback is accuracy: Tail Slap and Rock Blast can still miss entirely even though Skill Link guarantees five hits after they connect, so reliable alternatives may be safer when the extra power is unnecessary. Pure Normal leaves only a Fighting weakness and provides a Ghost immunity, but Cinccino has almost no natural resistances and poor defenses. Jolly Cinccino is safest as a fast cleaner brought in after a KO or through a Ghost immunity rather than as a general-purpose pivot.

Minccino greet each other by grooming one another thoroughly with their tails.
A clean freak that will not allow even the slightest mess, it uses its tail like a mop to thoroughly clean any and all filth.
When its tail has gotten dirty from self-cleaning or from cleaning its nest, Minccino spends a whole day washing its tail in clean spring water.
The way it brushes away grime with its tail can be helpful when cleaning. But its focus on spotlessness can make cleaning more of a hassle.
They pet each other with their tails as a form of greeting. Of the two, the one whose tail is fluffier is a bit more boastful.

Minccino Biology and Behavior
Minccino is obsessed with cleanliness and uses its long fluffy tail like a broom or mop to clean its den and any dirty objects it encounters. It also brushes other Minccino with the tail as a greeting, and the individual with the fluffier tail tends to act more proudly. Minccino prefers clean habitats and washes its own tail in clear spring water whenever it becomes dirty. Its compulsive cleaning can make it useful around humans, although the behavior can also become excessive.

Minccino Size Comparison: BETA
Minccino is listed at 1' 4" (0.4 m); this chart uses a pose-adjusted visual scale because large or floppy ears can extend above the substantial head.

How is visual size determined?
Pokédex height is treated as the official listed measurement, but the chart uses pose-aware visual scaling so each sprite looks reasonable in a direct comparison.
For long or coiled Pokémon, the listed height may represent total body length rather than upright height. For Pokémon with floppy ears, leaves, feathers, antennae, wings, or other flexible features, the chart usually measures to the top of the solid, substantial part of the head or body instead of the tallest decorative feature.
The goal is not to replace the official height, but to make the artwork compare naturally at the size it appears to occupy.
Minccino is currently tagged for large ears.
