Mr Rime Playthrough, Competitive, and Nuzlocke Usage
Using Mr Rime in a Playthrough
The Mime Jr. line splits sharply by region. Standard Mr. Mime is a fast, specially bulky Psychic-type that became Psychic/Fairy from Generation VI onward, offering strong special offense plus screens, status, Encore, and other support; in Kanto it can be an especially useful alternative to the frailer Abra line. In Galar, Mime Jr. instead evolves into Ice/Psychic Galarian Mr. Mime and then Mr. Rime, trading Fairy utility for Ice STAB, higher final-stage special power, and tools such as Rapid Spin and Screen Cleaner. Mime Jr. itself is weak and usually something to evolve quickly, while both adult branches reward teams that need special offense combined with support.
Mr Rime in Competitive Pokémon
Standard Mr. Mime has historically appeared in lower tiers as a fast special attacker, Baton Pass or screen supporter, and utility Pokemon, with Filter or Soundproof providing additional matchup-specific value. Galarian Mr. Mime and Mr. Rime gained the unique Screen Cleaner ability, which removes screen effects on entry, while Mr. Rime can combine good Special Attack and coverage with Rapid Spin. Their defensive weaknesses and only moderate physical bulk limit how freely they switch in. The line's competitive value comes more from unusual support tools and role compression than from raw statistical superiority.
Mr Rime in Nuzlockes
Mr. Mime can be a strong Nuzlocke Psychic-type because it combines good Speed and special bulk with Encore, screens, Psychic STAB, and useful coverage, making it less physically explosive but more controllable than some glass-cannon alternatives. In FireRed and LeafGreen, the in-game trade route to Mr. Mime can also make it relatively practical if the required Pokemon is available. Galarian Mr. Mime and Mr. Rime provide different resistances and Ice coverage but have more exploitable weaknesses, so their safety depends more heavily on matchup knowledge. Mime Jr. should generally be evolved before being exposed to difficult battles.

Mr Rime Biology and Behavior
Mr. Rime is an accomplished tap dancer that performs while carrying a cane made of ice. Its actual face remains relatively expressionless while the face-like pattern on its torso changes to display emotion. It can release psychic power from this belly pattern and uses its deliberately comical dancing to create openings, blasting opponents with extremely cold air when they are distracted by laughter.

Mr Rime Size Comparison: BETA
Mr Rime is listed at 4' 11" (1.5 m) and shown in an in-chart visual comparison.

How is visual size determined?
Pokédex height is treated as the official listed measurement, but the chart uses pose-aware visual scaling so each sprite looks reasonable in a direct comparison.
For long or coiled Pokémon, the listed height may represent total body length rather than upright height. For Pokémon with floppy ears, leaves, feathers, antennae, wings, or other flexible features, the chart usually measures to the top of the solid, substantial part of the head or body instead of the tallest decorative feature.
The goal is not to replace the official height, but to make the artwork compare naturally at the size it appears to occupy.
