Using Electrike in a Playthrough
The Electrike line develops into a fast special Electric attacker, with Electrike evolving into Manectric at level 26 and Manectric reaching base 105 Special Attack and 105 Speed. Electric attacks are special in Generation III, so Thunderbolt and Shock Wave already use Manectric's better attacking stat from its debut, while later moves such as Volt Switch give it valuable hit-and-run utility. Pure Electric typing is easy to plan around defensively because Ground is its only ordinary weakness, and abilities such as Static can punish contact while Lightning Rod in later mechanics can provide an Electric immunity and Special Attack boost. Manectric's main story weakness is frailty: 70 HP with base 60 defenses means strong neutral attacks can hurt badly, so it performs best by moving first and exploiting Water- or Flying-type opponents rather than trying to absorb repeated hits. Mega Manectric dramatically raises Special Attack and Speed to 135 each and gains Intimidate, turning the line into an exceptional fast pivot that can weaken physical attackers on entry before striking or switching out.
Electrike in Competitive Pokémon
Standard Manectric has historically occupied lower and middle competitive tiers as a fast special attacker, but it was usually overshadowed by Electric-types such as Raikou, Jolteon, or Electabuzz that offered stronger bulk, Speed, or coverage. Its useful traits include base 105 Speed and Special Attack, Thunderbolt, Volt Switch from Generation V onward, Fire coverage through Flamethrower or Overheat, and Lightning Rod for switching into Electric attacks while gaining offensive momentum. XY completely changed the species' competitive ceiling through Mega Manectric: base 135 Speed, base 135 Special Attack, Intimidate, and Volt Switch made it one of the best offensive pivots in OU and an especially strong fit on VoltTurn teams. Intimidate lets Mega Manectric soften physical attackers every time it enters, while Volt Switch preserves momentum and coverage such as Overheat punishes Grass- and Steel-types that resist Electric STAB. Its limitations are poor raw bulk, Ground immunity on common opponents, relatively predictable coverage, and competition for the team's Mega slot, but Mega Manectric turned an otherwise modest Electric-type into a genuine high-level threat.
Electrike in Nuzlockes
Electrike and Manectric can be valuable Nuzlocke encounters because they evolve at a reasonable level, have only one conventional weakness, and are fast enough to remove many Water- and Flying-type opponents before taking damage. Static can occasionally punish physical contact with paralysis, while Lightning Rod is even safer when legitimately available because it turns opposing Electric moves into free switch opportunities. The main concern is that Manectric's defenses are poor enough that strong neutral physical attacks can be dangerous even when no super-effective move is involved, and Ground attacks should be treated as potentially lethal. Volt Switch can reduce risk in later games by letting Manectric deal damage while returning to a safer teammate rather than remaining exposed. Mega Manectric is especially Nuzlocke-friendly when available because Intimidate immediately lowers physical damage and its tremendous Speed reduces the number of opponents that can attack first.

Electrike Biology and Behavior
Electrike stores static electricity throughout its fur and uses that charge to stimulate its leg muscles, allowing it to accelerate so quickly that its movement can become difficult for the human eye to follow. Friction with the surrounding air generates additional electricity as it runs, and dry weather or the atmospheric changes before a storm can make its body throw off visible showers of sparks. Because the fur itself carries charge, grooming Electrike with a metal brush can conduct electricity directly into the handler and deliver an unpleasant shock. The species favors grasslands and savannas, where open terrain gives it room to exploit its electrically enhanced running speed.

Electrike Size Comparison: BETA
Electrike is listed at 2' 0" (0.6 m) and shown in an in-chart visual comparison.

How is visual size determined?
Pokédex height is treated as the official listed measurement, but the chart uses pose-aware visual scaling so each sprite looks reasonable in a direct comparison.
For long or coiled Pokémon, the listed height may represent total body length rather than upright height. For Pokémon with floppy ears, leaves, feathers, antennae, wings, or other flexible features, the chart usually measures to the top of the solid, substantial part of the head or body instead of the tallest decorative feature.
The goal is not to replace the official height, but to make the artwork compare naturally at the size it appears to occupy.
