Stonjourner Playthrough, Competitive, and Nuzlocke Usage
Using Stonjourner in a Playthrough
Stonjourner does not evolve, so its extraordinary physical statistics are available immediately once it is caught, although its version-restricted availability can determine whether it is practical in a particular story. Base 125 Attack, 135 Defense, and 100 HP make it an excellent physical bruiser, but base 20 Special Defense is catastrophically low and creates one of the most extreme physical-special defensive splits in the series. Stone Edge supplies powerful Rock STAB but only 80% accuracy, while Rock Slide trades some damage for better reliability and Earthquake, Heavy Slam, Heat Crash, Low Kick, and Body Press provide useful coverage. Iron Defense plus Body Press can exploit its enormous Defense without depending entirely on Attack, while Stealth Rock offers team support when hazards are useful. Power Spot has no benefit to Stonjourner itself in singles but increases the power of allied Pokémon's moves by 30% in doubles, giving it a much more meaningful support role when fighting beside a partner. Pure Rock provides Fire, Flying, Normal, and Poison resistances but weaknesses to Fighting, Grass, Ground, Steel, and Water, and special attacks of almost any strong neutral type can still be dangerous because of base 20 Special Defense. Adamant maximizes straightforward physical damage, while Impish is appropriate for Body Press sets that emphasize the already exceptional Defense.
Stonjourner in Competitive Pokémon
Stonjourner has remained a very low-tier singles Pokémon despite impressive physical stats because its defensive specialization is so extreme that special attackers can often remove it with little difficulty. Sword/Shield classifies it as ZU, where Smogon's analysis explicitly considers it a poor choice relative to alternatives such as Lycanroc because base 20 Special Defense and only base 70 Speed leave very few safe opportunities to exploit its base 125 Attack. Choice Band sets can still threaten large damage with Stone Edge, Earthquake, Heat Crash, and Superpower, while Iron Defense plus Body Press gives defensive sets a way to convert the base 135 Defense directly into offense. Its unique Ability Power Spot is almost irrelevant in standard singles because it boosts allies rather than Stonjourner itself, but doubles gives the species a legitimate support concept by passively multiplying a partner's move power by 1.3 while Stonjourner uses Wide Guard, Protect, or its own attacks. Scarlet/Violet again places Stonjourner in ZU, and the fundamental evaluation has not changed: tremendous physical bulk and Attack are held back by poor special survivability, common Rock weaknesses, and unreliable Stone Edge when maximum STAB damage is needed. Terastallization can patch its typing or remove some weaknesses, but it cannot change the underlying base 20 Special Defense and therefore does not transform Stonjourner into a broadly safe wall. Its competitive history is best understood as a physically impressive but deeply specialized low-tier Pokémon whose most unique Ability is inherently more valuable in doubles than singles.
Stonjourner in Nuzlockes
Stonjourner can be exceptionally safe against known physical attackers in a Nuzlocke because 100 HP and 135 Defense provide enormous margin against many neutral contact or physical moves. That apparent durability can become a trap against special attacks: base 20 Special Defense is so low that even neutral special coverage can deal unexpectedly severe damage, while super-effective Water, Grass, Fighting, Ground, or Steel special moves are especially dangerous. Body Press is an excellent survival-oriented attack because it uses Stonjourner's huge Defense stat and has perfect accuracy, while Earthquake and Heavy Slam provide similarly reliable coverage without recoil. Stone Edge should be reserved for situations where its extra power is required, because an 80% accurate move is a substantial permadeath risk compared with Rock Slide or other safer alternatives. Iron Defense can make favorable physical matchups nearly unwinnable for the opponent, but increasing physical bulk does nothing to fix the special side and can create false confidence if the enemy has mixed coverage. Power Spot is relevant only when an ally is simultaneously active, so it contributes much more to double battles than to ordinary single-battle survival. The safest rule is simple: Stonjourner is an outstanding physical specialist, not a general-purpose tank.

Stonjourner Biology and Behavior
Stonjourner is a living assembly of enormous stones whose two leg structures each weigh more than 400 pounds. Despite that mass, it can occasionally unleash surprising bursts of speed and perform dynamic movements with its legs, although it normally prefers standing quietly in open grasslands and watching the sun move across the sky. Once every year on a particular day, Stonjourner travel from different areas and arrange themselves into a precisely spaced circle; the reason remains unknown, with theories involving the sun, terrestrial energy, or other environmental factors. Analysis of the rock composing its body found that the material matches bedrock from a distant land rather than the geology of the habitat where the Pokémon is normally encountered. Its resting posture can involve detaching or rotating parts of the legs, reinforcing that the stone components are articulated structures rather than an ordinary solid boulder.

Stonjourner Size Comparison: BETA
Stonjourner is listed at 8' 2" (2.5 m) and shown in an in-chart visual comparison.

How is visual size determined?
Pokédex height is treated as the official listed measurement, but the chart uses pose-aware visual scaling so each sprite looks reasonable in a direct comparison.
For long or coiled Pokémon, the listed height may represent total body length rather than upright height. For Pokémon with floppy ears, leaves, feathers, antennae, wings, or other flexible features, the chart usually measures to the top of the solid, substantial part of the head or body instead of the tallest decorative feature.
The goal is not to replace the official height, but to make the artwork compare naturally at the size it appears to occupy.
