Tornadus Therian Playthrough, Competitive, and Nuzlocke Usage
Using Tornadus Therian in a Playthrough
Tornadus is a pure Flying Legendary with two formes that are changed using the Reveal Glass. Incarnate Forme has base 125 Special Attack, 115 Attack, and 111 Speed, with Prankster giving +1 priority to status moves and the Hidden Ability Defiant sharply raising Attack when an opponent lowers one of its stats. Hurricane, Bleakwind Storm in later games, Focus Blast, Heat Wave, U-turn, Knock Off, Tailwind, Taunt, Rain Dance, and Nasty Plot in later generations allow offensive or support roles. Therian Forme lowers the offenses to 100 Attack and 110 Special Attack but raises Speed to 121, improves both defenses slightly, and replaces the ability with Regenerator, which restores one-third of maximum HP whenever Tornadus switches out. Pure Flying grants a Ground immunity and resistances to Fighting, Bug, and Grass, but Rock, Electric, and Ice are super effective and Stealth Rock causes significant chip. Timid is generally ideal for special offense, while the Incarnate form can also justify Naive or other mixed natures in older generations.
Tornadus Therian in Competitive Pokémon
Tornadus has two sharply different competitive histories. Incarnate Tornadus was a solid BW rain attacker: base 125 Special Attack, 111 Speed, and perfectly accurate Hurricane under rain gave it enormous immediate pressure, while Prankster supported Tailwind, Substitute, Taunt, or Rain Dance. Therian Tornadus was even more oppressive in the original BW metagame because base 121 Speed, Regenerator, U-turn, and rain-boosted Hurricane made it extraordinarily difficult to wear down while still threatening offense; it was eventually banned from BW OU during that era. In later generations, Tornadus-T became one of the game's premier utility pivots, repeatedly appearing in OU thanks to Regenerator, Knock Off, U-turn, Defog in relevant generations, Nasty Plot, broad coverage, and elite Speed. Heavy-Duty Boots later reduced the impact of its Stealth Rock weakness and made the Regenerator pivot cycle even safer. Incarnate Tornadus remains the more explosive Prankster-oriented form, while Therian is generally the superior long-term pivot.
Tornadus Therian in Nuzlockes
Both Tornadus formes are useful in Nuzlockes because Flying typing gives a Ground immunity and strong Speed lets them avoid many incoming attacks. Incarnate Tornadus can use Prankster Tailwind, Taunt, or other status moves before most opponents act, creating reliable team support even when direct damage is unnecessary. Therian Tornadus is safer over long routes because Regenerator heals one-third of its HP every time it switches out, making pivoting an efficient source of recovery. Hurricane is extremely powerful but unreliable outside rain, so Bleakwind Storm or more accurate alternatives may be preferable depending on generation and availability; in rain, Hurricane becomes much safer. Electric, Ice, and Rock attacks remain dangerous, and Stealth Rock should be removed or minimized because repeated entry damage undermines both formes, especially before Heavy-Duty Boots exist.

The lower half of its body is wrapped in a cloud of energy. It zooms through the sky at 200 mph.
Tornadus expels massive energy from its tail, causing severe storms. Its power is great enough to blow houses away.
In every direction it flies, creating winds so powerful, they blow everything away.
This storm-stirring Pokémon is said to cause the seasons to turn by whipping up the air. I suspect its humanlike form to be a false one.

Tornadus Therian Biology and Behavior
Therian Tornadus has a bird-like body with large wings and is suspected to represent the species' true form, revealed through the Reveal Glass. In this form it travels over oceans searching for a region in which to reside, rather than remaining permanently established in one area. It still controls violent winds but appears more naturally adapted to sustained flight than the cloud-riding Incarnate Forme. Modern records also associate Tornadus with Bleakwind Storm, a frigid wind attack unique to the species.

Tornadus Therian Size Comparison: BETA
Tornadus Therian is listed at 4' 7" (1.4 m) and shown in an in-chart visual comparison.

How is visual size determined?
Pokédex height is treated as the official listed measurement, but the chart uses pose-aware visual scaling so each sprite looks reasonable in a direct comparison.
For long or coiled Pokémon, the listed height may represent total body length rather than upright height. For Pokémon with floppy ears, leaves, feathers, antennae, wings, or other flexible features, the chart usually measures to the top of the solid, substantial part of the head or body instead of the tallest decorative feature.
The goal is not to replace the official height, but to make the artwork compare naturally at the size it appears to occupy.
