Using Keldeo Ordinary in a Playthrough
Keldeo is a Water/Fighting Mythical Pokemon with base 129 Special Attack, 108 Speed, and balanced 91/90/90 bulk, making it a fast special attacker rather than a conventional physical Fighting-type. Surf or Hydro Pump and Secret Sword are the core attacks: Secret Sword is a special move that uses Keldeo's Special Attack but calculates damage against the target's Defense, letting it punish specially bulky opponents that would otherwise handle Water attacks. Calm Mind, Icy Wind, Aqua Jet, Taunt, and other utility can round out the set depending on generation. Justified raises Keldeo's physical Attack after it is hit by a Dark-type move, but because its best sets are usually special, the ability is more useful for the Dark resistance than for the boost itself. Ordinary and Resolute Formes have identical typing, stats, and abilities; learning Secret Sword changes Keldeo into Resolute Forme in games that support the form, while forgetting it returns Keldeo to Ordinary Forme. Timid is usually ideal because base 108 Speed is one of Keldeo's greatest strengths.
Keldeo Ordinary in Competitive Pokémon
Keldeo was one of the most important Pokemon in BW OU. Rain-boosted Hydro Pump or Surf combines with Secret Sword to create exceptional mixed defensive pressure despite Keldeo attacking almost entirely from the special side, because Secret Sword targets Defense rather than Special Defense. Choice Scarf sets became premier revenge killers, Choice Specs sets were devastating wallbreakers, and Calm Mind variants punished teams that relied too heavily on passive Water answers. Its base 108 Speed is particularly valuable in BW because it naturally outruns many major offensive threats, while Water/Fighting typing also gives useful resistances to Fire, Ice, Dark, Rock, Bug, Steel, and Water. Ordinary and Resolute Formes are competitively identical; the distinction is tied to Secret Sword and appearance rather than stats. Keldeo remained a strong upper-tier attacker in later generations even after Fairy-types added another weakness, although its narrower coverage and dependence on prediction prevent it from being effortless to use.
Keldeo Ordinary in Nuzlockes
If Mythical Pokemon are permitted, Keldeo is extremely safe in many Nuzlocke matchups because base 108 Speed and 129 Special Attack let it end fights before opponents can retaliate. Secret Sword is especially useful because it bypasses special walls without relying on a physical Attack stat or risky setup, while Surf is generally safer than Hydro Pump when the extra power is unnecessary. Water/Fighting gives several resistances but leaves weaknesses to Electric, Flying, Grass, and Psychic, with Fairy added from Generation VI onward. Calm Mind can create extremely secure sweeps against special attackers that cannot threaten a super-effective hit, but setup should still be avoided against strong physical coverage because Keldeo's defenses are merely solid rather than extraordinary. Timid is generally the safest nature, and the Resolute transformation itself does not alter survivability because the two formes share identical battle stats.

By blasting water from its hooves, it can glide across water. It excels at using leg moves while battling.
It crosses the world, running over the surfaces of oceans and rivers. It appears at scenic waterfronts.
When it is resolute, its body fills with power and it becomes swifter. Its jumps are then too fast to follow.
Cobalion, Terrakion, and Virizion taught this Pokémon how to fight. It dashes across the world, seeking more opportunities to further its training.
They say that Keldeo must survive harsh battles and fully develop the horn on its forehead before this Pokémon’s true power will awaken.

Keldeo Ordinary Biology and Behavior
Keldeo is a colt-like Mythical Pokemon associated with the Swords of Justice. During an ancient human conflict that set the Moor of Icirrus ablaze, Keldeo was separated from its parents and rescued by Cobalion, Terrakion, and Virizion, who raised it and taught it survival and combat skills. It later left to travel the world and train, often appearing near beautiful bodies of water. Keldeo can eject water from its hooves and use the force to run, skate, or glide across the water's surface.

Keldeo Ordinary Size Comparison: BETA
Keldeo Ordinary is listed at 4' 7" (1.4 m); this chart uses a pose-adjusted visual scale.

How is visual size determined?
Pokédex height is treated as the official listed measurement, but the chart uses pose-aware visual scaling so each sprite looks reasonable in a direct comparison.
For long or coiled Pokémon, the listed height may represent total body length rather than upright height. For Pokémon with floppy ears, leaves, feathers, antennae, wings, or other flexible features, the chart usually measures to the top of the solid, substantial part of the head or body instead of the tallest decorative feature.
The goal is not to replace the official height, but to make the artwork compare naturally at the size it appears to occupy.
Keldeo Ordinary currently uses a pose-adjusted visual scale.
