Passimian Playthrough, Competitive, and Nuzlocke Usage
Using Passimian in a Playthrough
Passimian does not evolve and brings strong physical performance immediately, with base 120 Attack, 100 HP, 90 Defense, and a workable base 80 Speed making it far more straightforward in ordinary battles than its counterpart Oranguru. Pure Fighting STAB gives it powerful options such as Close Combat, while Knock Off, U-turn, Earthquake, Rock coverage, and Poison coverage in appropriate generations help it avoid being completely stopped by Psychic-, Ghost-, Flying-, and Fairy-type opponents. Receiver is designed for doubles because it copies the Ability of a fainted ally and consequently contributes little in an ordinary single-player battle, whereas the Hidden Ability Defiant is much more generally useful because opposing stat reductions can sharply raise Passimian's Attack. Defiant is particularly valuable against Intimidate and against opponents that try to lower Attack or other stats, although obtaining the Hidden Ability may require more effort than simply catching a normal Passimian. Its main weakness is special durability: base 60 Special Defense is much less reliable than its physical bulk, and pure Fighting leaves it vulnerable to Fairy-, Flying-, and Psychic-type attacks. Jolly is excellent for preserving useful Speed advantages and works especially well with an offensive pivoting role, while Adamant is a legitimate alternative when maximizing the damage of its already high Attack matters more.
Passimian in Competitive Pokémon
Passimian has built a respectable competitive history as a physical pivot and revenge killer, with U-turn and Defiant distinguishing it from many other Fighting-types. In Generation VII its official usage tier was NU, but it also had meaningful RU use because Choice Scarf let it revenge kill faster threats while U-turn preserved momentum and Knock Off punished common Psychic- and Ghost-type switch-ins. Defiant added strategic value by turning Defog, Sticky Web, Intimidate, and other opponent-induced stat drops into a two-stage Attack boost, making careless forms of hazard control or stat manipulation dangerous. Its physical bulk and Fighting resistance profile also let it switch into some Rock-, Dark-, and Bug-type attackers rather than functioning only as a fragile Choice user. Scarlet/Violet currently places Passimian in ZU, where Choice Scarf remains its characteristic set, showing that power creep and competition have reduced its usage even though the basic pivoting toolkit remains effective. The very new Pokémon Champions metagame currently lists Passimian in UU, but that placement is still developing and should not be treated as equivalent to its much longer established Generation VII singles history.
Passimian in Nuzlockes
Passimian's high Attack, good HP, and respectable physical Defense make it a useful Nuzlocke attacker with more margin for error than many offensive Fighting-types. U-turn is particularly valuable because it can deal damage while moving Passimian out of an unfavorable matchup, although using it safely still depends on knowing that Passimian can survive the incoming hit if the opponent moves first. Defiant is excellent when legitimately obtainable because it discourages Intimidate and can turn an enemy stat-lowering move into an immediate offensive advantage without spending a setup turn. Close Combat is powerful and accurate but lowers both Defense and Special Defense, so repeatedly using it can leave Passimian vulnerable to a follow-up attack even after scoring a knockout; safer Fighting moves may be preferable when maximum power is unnecessary. Its base 60 Special Defense is the largest defensive warning, and strong special Fairy-, Flying-, or Psychic-type attacks should rarely be challenged directly. Receiver is generally much less valuable in standard Nuzlocke singles and should not be treated as equivalent to Defiant merely because it is Passimian's signature Ability.

They form groups of roughly 20 individuals. Their mutual bond is remarkable—they will never let down a comrade.
They battle with hard berries for weapons. Their techniques are passed from the boss to the group, generation upon generation.
They use their saliva to stick leaves to their shoulders. You can tell what troop they belong to from the position of the leaves.
Berries are its weapons as well as the staple of its diet. The one that can throw a berry the farthest is the boss of the troop.
Displaying amazing teamwork, they follow the orders of their boss as they all help out in the search for their favorite berries.
Passimian live in groups of about 20, with each member performing an assigned role. Through cooperation, the group survives.

Passimian Biology and Behavior
Passimian live in organized troops of roughly 20 to 30 individuals led by a dominant member, which selects about ten of the strongest troop members to search for food. The leader also determines the color and placement of the leaves worn by the group, creating visible markings that distinguish one troop from another. Troops train rigorously to improve coordination and Berry handling, and individuals unable to tolerate the training may abandon the group. Passimian fight by throwing hard Berries for impact, softer Berries to obscure an opponent's vision, and passes between troop members that confuse enemies about where the next attack will originate; the troop leader is the individual capable of throwing Berries the farthest. They compete with Ambipom over desirable trees and are described as winning roughly half of those territorial disputes. A Trainer effectively replaces the troop leader for a captive Passimian, and the species is so attentive to throwing technique that it may refuse to obey a Trainer whose Poké Ball throwing form it considers poor.

Passimian Size Comparison: BETA
Passimian is listed at 6' 7" (2.0 m); this chart uses a pose-adjusted visual scale.

How is visual size determined?
Pokédex height is treated as the official listed measurement, but the chart uses pose-aware visual scaling so each sprite looks reasonable in a direct comparison.
For long or coiled Pokémon, the listed height may represent total body length rather than upright height. For Pokémon with floppy ears, leaves, feathers, antennae, wings, or other flexible features, the chart usually measures to the top of the solid, substantial part of the head or body instead of the tallest decorative feature.
The goal is not to replace the official height, but to make the artwork compare naturally at the size it appears to occupy.
Passimian currently uses a pose-adjusted visual scale.
