Druddigon Playthrough, Competitive, and Nuzlocke Usage
Using Druddigon in a Playthrough
Druddigon is a single-stage pure Dragon-type with base 120 Attack, 90 Defense, 90 Special Defense, and very low base 48 Speed. Dragon Claw or Outrage provides physical STAB, while Earthquake, Rock Slide, Crunch, Sucker Punch, Fire Punch, Thunder Punch, Glare, Stealth Rock, and other coverage or utility let it function as a slow bruiser rather than a sweeper. Rough Skin damages opponents that make contact, Sheer Force boosts moves with secondary effects by 30 percent while removing those effects, and the Hidden Ability Mold Breaker lets Druddigon ignore opposing abilities when attacking. Its balanced defenses make it reasonably sturdy, but pure Dragon is weak to Ice and Dragon in Generation V and Fairy from Generation VI onward. Glare is particularly useful because it can paralyze many targets regardless of type and compensate for Druddigon's terrible Speed. Adamant maximizes physical damage, while Brave works naturally under Trick Room and Careful can reinforce its special bulk.
Druddigon in Competitive Pokémon
Druddigon was one of BW RU's most dangerous Dragon-types. Base 120 Attack, excellent 77/90/90 bulk for the tier, and the scarcity of strong Dragon resists in lower tiers made its STAB extremely difficult to absorb, while Rough Skin punished physical contact and Sheer Force strengthened several coverage moves. It could run Choice Band, Stealth Rock, Glare, Dragon Tail, Sucker Punch, and bulky utility sets, giving it much more flexibility than a simple slow attacker. Smogon specifically highlights Druddigon as one of the tier's premier Dragon-types, where its low base 48 Speed is often offset by bulk, priority, paralysis support, or Trick Room. Its weaknesses are straightforward: faster Ice- or Dragon-type attackers can force it out, and later Fairy-types added another important defensive problem. Druddigon has remained a lower-tier physical tank and breaker rather than moving into sustained upper-tier play, but within those formats it has repeatedly been a serious threat.
Druddigon in Nuzlockes
Druddigon is a good Nuzlocke Pokemon because it arrives fully evolved, has no evolution requirement to manage, and combines base 120 Attack with solid 90/90 defenses. Rough Skin is particularly Nuzlocke-friendly because it punishes contact without Druddigon spending a turn, while Glare can slow dangerous opponents and make the rest of the team safer. Its very low Speed means it commonly takes a hit before attacking, so Ice, Dragon, and later Fairy coverage should be scouted carefully rather than relying on bulk alone. Sucker Punch can finish faster weakened targets, but prediction-based priority is less reliable than a straightforward attack when the opponent might use status or setup. Adamant or Careful are both sensible depending on whether the run values immediate damage or a larger defensive margin.

Druddigon Biology and Behavior
Druddigon is an aggressive, cunning cave-dwelling Dragon whose bright red head is harder than rock. Its wings absorb sunlight to warm its body; if it becomes too cold, Druddigon can become unable to move. Rather than excavating its own lairs, it often occupies caves and tunnels created by Pokemon such as Diglett, Dugtrio, Onix, and Excadrill. It hunts by chasing prey through those confined spaces and seizing victims with its long claws.

Druddigon Size Comparison: BETA
Druddigon is listed at 5' 3" (1.6 m); this chart uses a pose-adjusted visual scale.

How is visual size determined?
Pokédex height is treated as the official listed measurement, but the chart uses pose-aware visual scaling so each sprite looks reasonable in a direct comparison.
For long or coiled Pokémon, the listed height may represent total body length rather than upright height. For Pokémon with floppy ears, leaves, feathers, antennae, wings, or other flexible features, the chart usually measures to the top of the solid, substantial part of the head or body instead of the tallest decorative feature.
The goal is not to replace the official height, but to make the artwork compare naturally at the size it appears to occupy.
Druddigon currently uses a pose-adjusted visual scale.
