Elekid evolves into Electabuzz at level 30, and Electabuzz evolves into Electivire by trading while holding an Electirizer or with an Electirizer.
Electivire Playthrough, Competitive, and Nuzlocke Usage
Using Electivire in a Playthrough
The Electabuzz line provides fast Electric offense, with Electabuzz already combining good Speed and Special Attack before any further evolution. Electivire shifts the line toward physical offense, gaining very high Attack and broad physical coverage while becoming somewhat slower; the physical/special split is therefore especially important to how effectively its movepool uses its stats. Motor Drive can create a free switch and Speed boost against Electric attacks in generations where the ability is available. Electivire normally requires trading Electabuzz while it holds an Electirizer, so Electabuzz remains the practical endpoint in many playthroughs.
Electivire in Competitive Pokémon
Electivire is best known as a coverage-heavy physical attacker whose Motor Drive ability can convert predicted Electric attacks into a Speed boost. Earthquake, Fighting coverage, elemental punches, and Electric STAB let it threaten many different targets, but its base Speed is only moderate by offensive standards and it often struggles to secure enough power without prediction or boosting. Electabuzz has occasionally maintained lower-tier value through its higher Speed and, in later generations, Eviolite. The line is useful competitively but has generally depended on matchup-specific advantages rather than dominating through raw efficiency.
Electivire in Nuzlockes
Electabuzz is a useful Nuzlocke Electric-type when available because good Speed and respectable special offense allow it to handle Water- and Flying-types without taking unnecessary hits. In Kanto it appears relatively late, limiting early-game value, while later games may make Elekid available much earlier but require training before the line reaches its stronger stages. Electivire adds physical power and Motor Drive switching opportunities but often requires a trade item evolution. Ground attacks remain the major universal danger, and neither Electabuzz nor Electivire has enough physical bulk to ignore unexpected coverage.

As its electric charge amplifies, blue sparks begin to crackle between its horns.
It pushes the tips of its two tails against the foe, then lets loose with over 20,000 volts of power.
Heedless of enemy attacks, it closes in, shoves its tails onto the foe, then looses high voltage.
The instant it presses the tips of its tails onto an opponent, it sends over 20,000 volts of electricity into the foe.
It pushes the tips of its tails against its foes and then lets loose a high-voltage current. Its foes are burned to a crisp in an instant.
When it gets excited, it thumps its chest. With every thud, thunder roars and electric sparks shower all around.
It grips its tail, which spews electricity, and then beats down opponents with the power of its electrified fist.
A single Electivire can provide enough electricity for all the buildings in a big city for a year.
The amount of electrical energy this Pokémon produces is proportional to the rate of its pulse. The voltage jumps while Electivire is battling.
In terms of electrical-energy output, Electivire is one of the best among all Electric Pokémon. It discharges high-voltage currents from its tails.
Its evolution was induced by an unusual item, and its electrical output rises along with its heart rate. From its tails, it can unleash an electric current measuring 20,000 volts.

Electivire Biology and Behavior
Electivire channels electricity through the two cable-like tails on its back, which can deliver discharges exceeding 20,000 volts. It can grip those tails while punching to electrify its fists and combine physical impact with electrical damage. Pokedex descriptions characterize it as relatively careless about collateral damage when releasing large amounts of power.

Electivire Size Comparison: BETA
Electivire is listed at 5' 11" (1.8 m) and shown in an in-chart visual comparison.

How is visual size determined?
Pokédex height is treated as the official listed measurement, but the chart uses pose-aware visual scaling so each sprite looks reasonable in a direct comparison.
For long or coiled Pokémon, the listed height may represent total body length rather than upright height. For Pokémon with floppy ears, leaves, feathers, antennae, wings, or other flexible features, the chart usually measures to the top of the solid, substantial part of the head or body instead of the tallest decorative feature.
The goal is not to replace the official height, but to make the artwork compare naturally at the size it appears to occupy.
