Leafeon Leafeon Playthrough, Competitive, and Nuzlocke Usage
Using Leafeon in a Playthrough
Leafeon combines excellent 130 Defense with 110 Attack and respectable 95 Speed, giving it an unusual mixture of physical durability and offensive pressure. Strong physical Grass STAB such as Leaf Blade lets it handle Water-, Ground-, and Rock-types effectively while taking physical attacks much better than its appearance might suggest. Its primary limitations are pure Grass typing, weak 65 Special Defense, and a relatively shallow coverage movepool, leaving it vulnerable to numerous common types and special coverage attacks. Its usefulness also depends on team composition, since Grass starters and other readily available Grass-types can make spending Eevee on Leafeon redundant.
Leafeon in Competitive Pokémon
Leafeon's 130 Defense, 110 Attack, and 95 Speed allow it to function as either a physically defensive Pokemon or an offensive threat, but its pure Grass typing and limited coverage restrict both roles. It can check certain physical Ground-, Water-, and Grass-type attackers while still threatening opponents with its respectable Attack rather than becoming completely passive. Chlorophyll provides an alternative offensive niche by doubling its Speed in sun, allowing Leafeon to operate as a fast physical sweeper when supported by the appropriate weather. Competition from Grass-types with better secondary typings, coverage, abilities, or utility has generally kept Leafeon from establishing itself consistently in higher competitive tiers.
Leafeon in Nuzlockes
Leafeon's 130 Defense gives it excellent safety against known physical attackers, particularly Water-, Ground-, and Rock-types that it can also threaten with strong Grass STAB. Its 95 Speed and 110 Attack are valuable because Leafeon does not have to rely entirely on defensive stalling and can often remove favorable opponents quickly. However, its 65 Special Defense and numerous Grass weaknesses make unexpected special coverage particularly dangerous, especially in blind runs where enemy movesets are unknown. Leafeon consequently performs best when encounters can be planned in advance and its strong physical matchups can be exploited without exposing it to special Fire-, Ice-, Flying-, Bug-, or Poison-type attacks.

Just like a plant, it uses photosynthesis. As a result, it is always enveloped in clear air.
It basically does not fight. With cells similar to those of plants, it can perform photosynthesis.

When you see Leafeon asleep in a patch of sunshine, you’ll know it is using photosynthesis to produce clean air.
Its cellular composition is closer to that of a plant than an animal. It uses photosynthesis to produce its energy supply without eating food.
The younger they are, the more they smell like fresh grass. With age, their fragrance takes on the odor of fallen leaves.
Although it doesn’t like disputes, it will sharpen the leaf on its tail into a blade and fight if it has to protect its friends.
It gets its nutrition from photosynthesis. It lives a quiet life deep in forests where clean rivers flow.
Galarians favor the distinctive aroma that drifts from this Pokémon’s leaves. There’s a popular perfume made using that scent.
This Pokémon’s tail is blade sharp, with a fantastic cutting edge that can slice right though large trees.
Cells similar to those of plants have been found in its fur. Its hard tail can fell a large tree with one stroke, and the tail's sharpness exceeds even that of a sword crafted by a master.

Leafeon Biology and Behavior
Leafeon's fur contains cells that behave more like plant cells than ordinary animal tissue, allowing it to obtain energy through photosynthesis rather than relying entirely on food. While resting in sunlight it also purifies the surrounding air, and it is commonly described as a peaceful Pokemon that prefers avoiding combat. When friends are threatened, however, Leafeon can harden and sharpen its leaf-like tail into a cutting weapon whose edge is said to exceed that of a manufactured sword and can sever a large tree in a single strike. Its biology therefore combines an unusually passive, plantlike lifestyle with formidable defensive weaponry used primarily when protection is necessary.

Leafeon Size Comparison: BETA
Leafeon is listed at 3' 3" (1.0 m); this chart uses a pose-adjusted visual scale because tails can extend beyond the main body silhouette.

How is visual size determined?
Pokédex height is treated as the official listed measurement, but the chart uses pose-aware visual scaling so each sprite looks reasonable in a direct comparison.
For long or coiled Pokémon, the listed height may represent total body length rather than upright height. For Pokémon with floppy ears, leaves, feathers, antennae, wings, or other flexible features, the chart usually measures to the top of the solid, substantial part of the head or body instead of the tallest decorative feature.
The goal is not to replace the official height, but to make the artwork compare naturally at the size it appears to occupy.
Leafeon is currently tagged for tail.
