Happiny Playthrough, Competitive, and Nuzlocke Usage
Using Happiny in a Playthrough
The Happiny line is built around extreme special durability and support rather than quickly defeating ordinary opponents. Happiny itself has extremely poor battle stats and is generally a developmental stage, while Chansey combines enormous HP and Special Defense with reliable recovery through Soft-Boiled and utility such as status, screens, and Seismic Toss depending on the game. Blissey improves the line's Special Defense and Special Attack while retaining its extraordinary HP, making it much less passive when good special attacks are available. Both Chansey and Blissey are exceptionally effective against special attackers but have extremely poor physical Defense, so physical Fighting moves and strong physical attackers must be avoided. Their slow damage output can also make routine playthrough battles cumbersome even when the opponent poses little actual danger.
Happiny in Competitive Pokémon
Chansey and Blissey are among the most historically important dedicated special walls in competitive Pokemon. Chansey became particularly formidable after the introduction of Eviolite, which boosts both of its defenses while it remains unevolved, and it combines that bulk with Soft-Boiled, Natural Cure, status, entry hazards, cleric support, or Seismic Toss depending on generation. Blissey cannot use Eviolite but has greater Special Defense and Special Attack and can hold other items freely, allowing it to fill a similar special-wall and support role with somewhat greater offensive presence. Natural Cure makes both difficult to cripple permanently with status, while their defining weakness remains extremely low physical Defense. Which evolution is preferable depends heavily on generation, available items, and format rather than Blissey simply replacing Chansey competitively.
Happiny in Nuzlockes
The Chansey line can trivialize battles dominated by special attacks because very few ordinary special attackers can overcome its enormous HP and Special Defense before it heals or wears them down. FireRed and LeafGreen community analysis is divided mainly because Chansey is extremely rare and difficult to catch in the Safari Zone, slow to train, and almost useless against strong physical attackers, but its favorable matchups against special opponents can be extraordinarily safe once obtained. Soft-Boiled, Seismic Toss, Toxic, screens, and other support moves can let it defeat dangerous bosses without exposing frailer teammates. Blissey improves the line further when high-friendship evolution is available, although neither evolution should be mistaken for a general-purpose tank because strong physical attacks can overwhelm them very quickly.

Happiny Biology and Behavior
Happiny cannot yet produce the eggs associated with Chansey and Blissey, so it imitates them by carrying a round white stone inside its flexible belly pouch. It treasures this stone intensely, may give it to someone it trusts, and can cry or throw a tantrum if the object is taken away or not returned. Happiny sometimes selects stones so large that their weight prevents it from moving properly, and it has a habit of wandering around people's feet and accidentally tripping them. It enjoys playing house with children, and the animated series has demonstrated that at least one Happiny possessed extraordinary physical strength despite the species' small size.

Happiny Size Comparison: BETA
Happiny is listed at 2' 0" (0.6 m) and shown in an in-chart visual comparison.

How is visual size determined?
Pokédex height is treated as the official listed measurement, but the chart uses pose-aware visual scaling so each sprite looks reasonable in a direct comparison.
For long or coiled Pokémon, the listed height may represent total body length rather than upright height. For Pokémon with floppy ears, leaves, feathers, antennae, wings, or other flexible features, the chart usually measures to the top of the solid, substantial part of the head or body instead of the tallest decorative feature.
The goal is not to replace the official height, but to make the artwork compare naturally at the size it appears to occupy.
