Revavroom Revavroom Playthrough, Competitive, and Nuzlocke Usage
Using Revavroom in a Playthrough
Varoom evolves into Revavroom at level 40, so the line requires a fairly long investment before reaching its much stronger final form, but the payoff is a physically oriented Steel/Poison Pokémon with base 119 Attack and useful defensive typing. Revavroom resists or strongly resists many common attacking types and is immune to Poison, but its 4× Ground weakness is the defining defensive liability; even its Hidden Ability Filter only reduces super-effective damage by 25%, so a Ground attack remains extremely dangerous. Shift Gear is its most important setup tool, raising Attack by one stage and Speed by two and turning base 90 Speed into a sweeping asset, while Gunk Shot, Iron Head, High Horsepower, Temper Flare, and other coverage can support physical sets. Its signature Spin Out is a perfectly accurate 100-base-power Steel attack, but the two-stage Speed drop directly works against Shift Gear's speed-building game plan and makes Iron Head more comfortable when repeated attacks are expected. Overcoat provides immunity to powder moves and sandstorm damage, while Filter is often more broadly useful when available because it softens Fire and especially Ground hits without removing their danger. Terastallization can eliminate the 4× Ground weakness or improve coverage, and Adamant is excellent for maximizing damage while Jolly is useful when Revavroom must act before opponents prior to setting up. The five Team Star Starmobiles are special opponent-only Revavroom constructs with completely different types, Abilities, and Torque moves; they are not obtainable player forms and therefore do not expand the usable Revavroom moveset during a normal playthrough.
Revavroom in Competitive Pokémon
Revavroom has developed into a solid SV UU setup sweeper whose value comes from combining Steel/Poison defensive utility with Shift Gear and a genuinely strong base 119 Attack. After one Shift Gear it outspeeds the entire unboosted UU metagame, and sets commonly combine Gunk Shot with Iron Head or Temper Flare and High Horsepower to pressure Steel-types and other conventional checks. Air Balloon is particularly synergistic because it temporarily erases Revavroom's crippling 4× Ground weakness and can create the free turn needed to use Shift Gear, while Filter provides insurance once the Balloon is gone. Parting Shot and Toxic Spikes also let it serve as an offensive pivot or utility Pokémon rather than committing every set to sweeping. Its limitations are substantial: base 67 Special Defense is mediocre, common Ground coverage is dangerous even through Filter, and its coverage is not broad enough to guarantee that one Shift Gear will break every defensive core. Spin Out is rarely the centerpiece of competitive sets despite being the family's signature move because its harsh Speed reduction conflicts with the exact stat Revavroom usually spends a turn boosting. The Starmobiles have no standard competitive history because they are scripted, unobtainable boss constructs with special battle rules rather than legal player forms.
Revavroom in Nuzlockes
Revavroom can be a strong Nuzlocke Pokémon once Varoom reaches level 40, but the evolution comes late enough that Varoom's much weaker 300 BST can require careful protection beforehand. Steel/Poison provides a large number of resistances and a Poison immunity, making many predicted switches comfortable, but the 4× Ground weakness is severe enough that unknown Earthquake, Stomping Tantrum, or High Horsepower coverage can cause an immediate death. Filter is therefore the safest Hidden Ability when available, though reducing a 4× weakness to effectively 3× damage is mitigation rather than immunity; Overcoat is more situational but removes powder and sandstorm variance. Shift Gear can enable decisive sweeps in known matchups, yet spending a setup turn against an opponent with Ground or strong special coverage is dangerous because Revavroom's Special Defense is only moderate. Spin Out's perfect accuracy is attractive, but dropping Speed by two stages after attacking can expose Revavroom on the following turn, so Iron Head or another reliable move is often safer when its lower power still secures the knockout. Parting Shot offers valuable controlled repositioning, while self-destructive or highly inaccurate options should be avoided when a safer route exists. The Starmobiles are enemy boss units rather than obtainable forms, so their unusual types and status immunities matter when planning Team Star battles but cannot be used as Nuzlocke assets.

It creates a gas out of poison and minerals from rocks. It then detonates the gas in its cylinders—now numbering eight—to generate energy.
Revavroom viciously threatens others with the sound of its exhaust. It sticks its tongue out from its cylindrical mouth and sprays toxic fluids.

Revavroom Biology and Behavior
The Segin Starmobile is Giacomo's Dark-type Team Star vehicle, powered by a large Revavroom in the hood with two Varoom acting as rear wheels. It has Intimidate and the exclusive Wicked Torque rather than ordinary Revavroom's Steel/Poison typing and normal Ability selection. Like the other Starmobiles, it is an engineered, unobtainable boss construct with special battle properties including immunity to negative status conditions and resistance to having its type altered; Scarlet/Violet does not implement it as an ordinary interchangeable player form.

Revavroom Size Comparison: BETA
Revavroom is listed at 5' 11" (1.8 m) and shown in an in-chart visual comparison.

How is visual size determined?
Pokédex height is treated as the official listed measurement, but the chart uses pose-aware visual scaling so each sprite looks reasonable in a direct comparison.
For long or coiled Pokémon, the listed height may represent total body length rather than upright height. For Pokémon with floppy ears, leaves, feathers, antennae, wings, or other flexible features, the chart usually measures to the top of the solid, substantial part of the head or body instead of the tallest decorative feature.
The goal is not to replace the official height, but to make the artwork compare naturally at the size it appears to occupy.
